Introduction

​

The Embassy of the Republic of Angola in the Republic of Namibia was established in 1990.

• Her Excellency Jovelina Imperial e Costa, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, heads the Diplomatic Mission since July 2019, and has been striving  to create greater dynamism, for the consolidation of the excellent existing relations of friendship and cooperation between the two sister countries.  

• The Embassy's responsibilities are as follows:

• Represent the Angolan State to the Namibian State

• Protect the interests of the Angolan State and its nationals, within the limits established by international law;

• Negotiate with the Namibian Government on various matters of common interest;

• Be informed through legal means on the existing conditions and the evolution of events in Namibia 

• Promote friendly relations and develop economic, cultural and scientific relations between the two states

• To cope with the growing demand of citizens. The Embassy is structured in several sectors, namely: Political, Economic, Defense, and Consular, the latter being dedicated to serving the community and the public in general.
